Adviser: DR. SIMEON S. CRUCIDO. The effect of Bio — N on the growth and yield performance of sweet pepper (Capsicum annum Linn.) was studied under net house condition. The experiment was conducted using three (3) treatments namely: Treatment 1 (Uninoculated or Control), Treatment 2 (Seed Inoculated), and Treatment 3 (Root Inoculated). The treatments were replicated thrice and randomly distributed in the experimental area following a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Six (6) potted plants were used for the treatments per replication. Growth of sweet pepper was not significantly enhanced by Bio — N inoculation. Sweet pepper in Treatment 3 (Root Inoculated) obtained the highest growth rate. Among the treatments, uninoculated plants exhibited the lowest growth performance in all the growth parameters studied. For the yield of sweet pepper, inoculation significantly enhanced the yield of the said plants. Sweet pepper inoculated with Bio — N produced the highest total number of fruits, fruit weight and computed yield per hectare. Uninoculated plants obtained the Results show that the application of Bio — N increases the yield of sweet pepper. | |
