The participants of the study were 150 employees with ages 18 to 64 years old from selected GOCC branch offices of Cavite, namely: Tagaytay City, Dasmarinas City, Imus, Trece Martires City, and Kawit, Cavite. The study used frequency counts, mean, range, percentage, and standard deviation for treatment of data. Likert scale was used to measure personality traits, practices considered in investment decisions, and intention. Chi Square Correlation, Point Biserial and Spearman Rank were used to determine the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics, personality type and factors affecting investment decision to the investment portfolio. Investment portfolio, particularly properties had a significant relationship with age and civil status. Investment in stocks was significantly related to the sex of GOCC employees. Investments in bonds had significant relationship to civil status and highest educational attainment. Insurance had a significant relationship to the participants monthly income. Their investment portfolio depended on their age, civil status, sex, highest educational attainment and monthly income. Personality traits is not significantly related to investment portfolio; however some personality traits had presented a relationship to investment portfolio which includes relationship of extroversion to investment in business, stocks, and bonds; relationship between openness to experience to properties, stocks, and bonds; relationship of agreeableness and bonds; and relationship of conscientiousness and business, stocks, bonds, and insurance.
