The development of "Letters in a Box: A Combination of Scrabble and Doc-and Boxes" was developed to provide a combination of features of the two games Scrabble and Dots-andin a software version playable through a computer. The players have choices whether to play it alone against the artificial intelligence (Al) or by two (2) players. The study was proposed on November 2014 and was done on November 2016. Data gathering was conducted from libraries of Cavite State University - Main Campus, De La Salle University - Dasmarinas, and AMA University - Langkaan.
In the development of the study, the researchers used the iterative development process as methodology. Each process undergone different testing methods to meet the desired quality of the software. For software development, Windows 10 was used as the operating system, Visual Studio Community 2015 for integrated development environment, Microsoft Access for database, Microsoft Word for documentation, and Adobe Photoshop CS6 for the design.

The software evaluation was performed by 100 college students from Cavite State University - Main Campus.

The overall result of software evaluation with the criteria of functionality, usability, efficiency, and portability shows that the software was excellently done. It means that the proponents met all the expectation and desired output for the developed software.
