The project entitled, "Potted Aromatic Herbs Production Enterprise" was conducted at the Crop Production Project, College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resources, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from February 2017April 2017. The project primarily aimed to help the students demonstrate skills in producing aromatic herbs, expose the students to actual management of an enterprise; and assess the profitability of aromatic herbs enterprise.
The project produced a total of 1,000 potted citronella, 200 potted lemon grass and 30 potted rosemary. Citronella and lemon grass were sold at Php30.00 per pot while rosemary was sold at php50.00 per pot.
The production cost of the project amounted to Php23,054.00. The enterprise realized a gross income of Php37,500.00, and net income was Php14,446.00. The return on investment was computed at 62.66 per cent.
