A case study was conducted at Focolare Carpentry Shop- Manufacturers & Wholesalers, Brgy. Iruhin West, Tagaytay Calamba — Road, Tagaytay, 4120, Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to describe and analyze the production process of the firm, identify the products the firm provides; determine and describe the transformed and transforming resources of the firm; describe the production process type of the firm; analyze the production process of the firm using SWOT Analysis and; identify problems encountered by the firm, especially on the production process and recommend a feasible
solutions.

Primary data were obtained through observation, actual participation in the production area, and personal interviews with the managers, supervisor, person-in-charge and other employees. Secondary data were obtained from the existing files and records of the company.

There are several steps in the production process of the firm; it includes the milling, sizing, assembling, sizing and finishing. There are also sub processes under these.

After the thorough analysis of the production process of the Focolare Carpentry Shop, the whole management provides and follows a high quality process. The use of good layout of production skilled and experienced workers and good quality raw materials were the factors for these quality products.

The firm must adapt new and advance technologies that will probably increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process and will help to eliminate the intensive labor image of firm to attract new employees. The firm can also train new entrants of employees to be able to have new skilled and fully trained workforce. In terms of the current machine the firm have, the firm can do the regular checking and maintenance of the machine instead of the on- call maintenance.
