CAMIT, JAO PAUL M. and DINLASAN, JOHN PATRICK P.“Development of a Phase Converter Trainer”. Undergraduate Design Project, Bachelor of Industrial Technology Major in Electrical Technology, Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Mr. Garry M. Cahibaybayan.

The Phase Converter Trainer was designed to develop a training device that will be used by Electrical students and the instructors of Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Electrical Technology.

The materials that use in the project design was canvassed and checked through online shopping. The researchers do search for the needed materials, and check its availability for the design project. The materials to be used were considered and analyzed were to buy the needed materials. The supplies was bought directly from Raon St. Quiapo, Manila, and the other supplies from Caloocan, Valenzuela. Electrical Supplies were generated from the other cheaper but reputable suppliers. The frame of the prototype was constructed in Matagbac, Alfonso, Cavite.

The Phase Converter Trainer is composed of: circuit breakers, three phase outlet, power supply, ammeter, voltmeters, overload relay, push buttons, running capacitor, start capacitor, magnetic contactors, timer, induction motor, banana jack and plugs, terminals, emergency stop, pilot lights and wires. The components are mounted on a frame made of 1/2 size plywood supported by 1/4 size angle bar frame. The plywood are fastened on the angle bar frame by wood screws. The components are fixed on the plywood.

The prototype mini conveyor is not fix on the trainer so that it can be easily de-atache on the trainer for demonstrations.
