This study was conducted to evaluate the Sustainable Livelihood Program under
Pantawid Pamilya in selected Indigent Communities in Indang, Cavite.
Specifically, the study aimed to a) determine the status of Sustainable Livelihood Program in Indang, Cavite, in terms of: goals and objectives, years of the program, participants, output of the program, and sustainable plans,b) determine the problems encountered by the municipality in the implementation of the Sustainable Livelihood Program; and, c) determine the impact of the Sustainable Livelihood Program to the beneficiaries, in terms of: family, financial, education, health and skills. Descriptive- Narrative research design was used in the study and the purposive sampling method was utilized to determine the status and impact of the Sustainable Livelihood Program to the beneficiaries.
The participants of this study were the sixty-four (64) PantawidPamilya beneficiaries who undergone to the Sustainable livelihood Program (SI,P). The researchers choose six (6) barangays to be selected target communities of the study. And these includes the Brgy. Alulod, Brgy. Buna Lejos, Brgy. BanabaCerca, Brgy. Harasan, Brgy. Guyam Malaki and Brgy. Tambo Balagbag. This also includes the Program Development Officers (PDO) who handle the Sustainable Livelihood Program.
The result of the study revealed that the Sustainable Livelihood Program is significant to the beneficiaries and they agree that the program helped them but still not enough to sustain their living. This means that, even if they are engaged to the program they still need to find other resources that could generate them an income.
