The study was conducted from June 2017 to May 2018 at Department of Information Technology that aimed to develop an Android motion comic application about Jose Rizal's life that gives entertainment and knowledge to the readers. Specifically, it aimed to: I. to gather information through survey and interview; 2. to design an application that helps the students to easily understand Rizal's life; 3. to provide a supplementing tool to teacher's to catch the attention of students; and 4. to develop a system that helps the students retain the information about Jose Rizal.

The researchers used Mobile-D as the methodology of the study. Interviews and surveys were done to gather relevant information. There are five phases comprising Mobile-D namely, explore, initialize, productionize, stabilize, and system test & fix. Different activities and tasks related to each phases were conducted.

The different software and technologies used in the accomplishment of the system were Adobe Animate for the development of the android application and for the animation of the motion comic, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for the vector images.

The system was evaluated in accordance to functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability and user-friendliness. The participants were composed of students taking the subject, Rizal and the IT experts from the Department of Information Technology of Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Evaluation results indicated that the system has passed and completed the needed requirements.
