The study was conducted from January to April 2017 to analyze and measure the risk tolerance in stocks investment among college professors in Cavite. The study aimed to determine the demo-economic characteristics of college professors; determine the risk tolerance in stocks investment of the participants in terms of level of risk tolerance; determine the relationship between demo-economic characteristic and level of risk tolerance of the participants; identify the other factor affecting the level of risk tolerance of the participants; and significant difference of stocks investment to risk tolerance. A survey questionnaire was used to gather data from 100 participants in the selected universities and colleges in Cavite. Frequency, count, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used in the analysis. Ordinary least square regression was used to test the hypothesis. Results showed that college professors in Cavite were mostly female in their 30s, single and do not have graduate degrees. Majority have income of P12,000 to P26,400 and in service for at most 6 years. College professors in Cavite were found to have a moderate or average risk tolerance which means that the respondents were either willing or not willing to take risk in investing in stocks and only sex had a significant relationship on the risk tolerance of college professors in Cavite.
