This study is entitled "Athlete's perception towards the sports participation of Homosexuals in Cavite State University — Main Campus". It was conducted to determine the perception of athletes in homosexuals playing sports. The participants of the study were available athletes enrolled for the second semester SY 2018-2019 in Cavite State University-Main Campus. Descriptive method was used, and the chief instrument was survey questionnaires. The study discussed the demographic profile of athletes in CvSU, the perception of athletes regarding the participation of homosexuals in sports, types of sports that athletes perceived to be more acceptable for homosexuals to participate in and the comparison between the perception of athletes regarding the participation of homosexuals in sports when grouped by age, sex, year level, event, playing years, and religion. Statistical findings of the study revealed that half of the total number of the athletes accepted the homosexuals in sports. They are generally positive and have an accepting attitude in support for homosexual athletes. Also, the results of ANOVA showed that there is no significant difference between the perceptions of Athletes and age, sex, event, year level, playing years, and religion. The variables don't affect the perception of athletes towards homosexuals. There are numerous ways that individuals and organizations can take immediate and practical first steps towards addressing the issue of homosexuals in sports. Just as society is diverse, the sport world is also diverse. They should open their mind to the reality that lesbian and gay athletes are in every school, on every team, in every venue and in every locker room.
