BAURILE, SHIELA MAE C. and PERIDO, MARY GRACE P. Development of a Low-Power Jamming Device. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2019. Adviser: Engr. Michael T. Costa.
The study was conducted to develop a low-power jamming device for five frequency networks namely, GSM900, 2G/3G, GPS, Wifi and Bluetooth. Specifically, it aimed to construct the RF Amplifying circuit, jamming circuit, and tuning circuit, design and integrate the circuits of the transmitter system, construct a transmitter for signal' jamming, test and evaluate the device by turning on the device one at a time and simultaneously and assess mobile phones if signals for each bands are jammed for every distance from 1 m — 5 m and also taking the signal strength for all the locations inside the classroom to take the signal shape, and to conduct a cost computation of the device.
The study was composed of three main operations: the noise and frequency generation to produce the signal that will be transmitted to the mobile phone; the amplification and filtering of the signal generated to set it on the desired frequency range; and the relay system, which is responsible for the selection of the frequency network that will be transmitted by the device.
The design project was evaluated technically for its efficiency and performance. The evaluation was conducted and done at Engineering Science (ES) Building, Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering (DCEE) at Cavite State University-Main Campus, Indang, Cavite.
Based on the results, the low-power jamming device met the desired objectives. he transmitter was proven to work efficiently for all frequency bands through technical valuation and it can cover the whole classroom.
The total cost of the project amounted to P13, 117.00.
