The project, "Growing Mongo and peanut", was con-ducted in Cabuco, Trece Marta reps City from August 1984 to January 1985. It aimed to integrate theoretical know-ledge with practical work experience and to gain the necessary skills in mongo and peanut production. It also aimed to establish an income generating project that may serve as a model to farmers. Based on the outcome of the project, a 5,000 square meter lot which was planted to mongo and peanut in success-ion gave the farmer-cooperator a net income of 1650.00. The low production outcome on both crops was due to the adverse effect of the environment.
