An income generating project entitled, "inter-cropping Sweet Potato and Pole Sitao" was conducted in Yulo ni Sara, Maragondon, Cavite from July 1938 to December 198B. The project aimed to introduce the intercropping technique of farming in order to maximize the farmers income.
The field of 2,500 square meters was as utilized in their project. The land was prepared by plowing: and harrowing. Furrows were established and planting was done by intercropping pole sitao with sweet potato 0 Weeding was done with the aid of the hand trowel. Firs b application of complete fertilizer at the rate of 25 kilograms at planting time and the other half with the rate of 25 kilograms was side dressed three weeks after planting.
