The project entitled "Rhizobium Inoculation in Peanut Production" was conducted in Agus-os, Indang, Cavite from October 1988 to January 1989. It aimed to disseminate information and recommendation to farmers on the use of this new technology particularly on peanuts.
The one-fourth hectare field was thoroughly prepared and planted with inoculated peanut seeds at the rate of 2 - 3 seeds per hill. Slurry method of inoculation was used. The crop showed signs of maturity 90 days after planting. A total yield of 80 kg was obtained 120 days after planting and was marketed at .30.00/kg. A net income of K7161.00 was obtained from the project.
