A farm practice entitled " Drill Method of Planting Radish" was conducted at the Central Experiment Station, Department of Crop Science, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from August 11 to October 11, 1996. The project aimed to help the student gain knowledge and skills in radish production using the drill. method of planting. A total of 420 square meter field was prepared by plowing and harrowing two times to allow weed seeds to germinate and kill harmful organism. Two to three seeds of radish were sown per hill at a distance of 30 centimeters between rows and ten centimeters between hills. Other cultural management practices were strictly followed. A total volume of 660 kilograms of radish was produced and sold to the retailers. The production cost amounted to P 3,187.50 which P 857.50 was spent for the purchase of materials. The gross income amounted to P9,900.00 and the net income derived was P6,248.99. The return on investment (ROI) was 171.15%.
