A total of 60 Pilch Broiler chicks were fed with various levels of dried azolla. Birds were divided into six treatments. The treatment used were as follows:
Ti control (pure mash)
T2 - commercial feed with 5% dried azolla
T3 - commercial feed with 10% dried azolla
T4 - commercial feed with 15% dried azolla
T5 - commercial feed with 20% dried azolla
T6 - commercial feed with 25% dried azolla
Analysis of data were obtained using completely randomized design (CRD).
Results showed that birds fed with 5% dried azolla have significantly higher average body weight from second week up to the last stage of rearing. No significant difference was observed in the average feed consumption and average feed efficiency of birds in different treatments.
A 0.033 percent mortality occurred in treatment V during the period of the study.
