A total of sixty 4 weeks old straight run commercial broiler chicks were used. This study was conducted to determine the effect of silkworm waste on their rearing performance characteristics and the economics of incorporating different levels of silkworm waste in broiler rations.

Differences observed on the eight week average body weight of the birds were small and insignificant.

Significant differences were observed on the eight-week average cumulative feed consumption » feed efficiency and income over feed and chick cost per chick started (IOFCC) of the birds in different treatments.

No mortality was observed during the entire period of the experiment.
