ANOR, JENNY CYRIL JECIEL. Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park, Kawit, Cavite. Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing. Cavite State University, April 2004. Adviser: Mr. Romeo C. Navarro.
A study aimed to present the company's organization and management, service operation, marketing policies and procedures; identify the problems encountered by the firm and recommend some feasible solutions; and gain knowledge and skills that would be useful for future employment. The field study was conducted at Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park, Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite from November 29, 2003 to February 28, 2004. Data were gathered through observations and interview with some of the resort's personnel. Other information was obtained from the records and files of the company and CvSU Library. Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park is a sprawling 12-hectare Mediterranean-inspired island resort that offers hotel accommodations, function rooms for meetings and banquets and other facilities for relaxation, sports, recreation, entertainment and fun. The author was assigned at the Marketing Communication Department performing filing and sorting of documents, photocopying, answering phone calls, faxing press releases, clipping releases from various newspapers and magazines, and operating the riso graph machine. Also performed were memo routing, cutting and distributing flyers, and assisting the guests when there is an event. It is recommended that Island Cove Resort and Leisure Park think of more effective strategies to promote their company in order to be competitive and most importantly to attract more potential customers and clients.
