This study was conducted to determine the profile and training needs of the Pantawid
Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries in Tanza, Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to: (1)
determine the profile of Pantawid beneficiaries in Tanza, Cavite in terms of Socio-demographic
characteristic, Economic characteristic, Socio-economic category; (2) determine the perception
of the beneficiaries in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program; (3) identify the training needs
of the beneficiaries; and (5) identify the problems they encountered as Pantawid beneficiaries.
In this study, descriptive method of research was used. A total of 166 beneficiaries of
the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in selected barangays of Tanza Cavite served as the
participants of this study. A survey questionnaire administered to the beneficiaries of Pantawid
Pamilyang Pilipino Program was used to gather data from the participants.
The data were computed by the means of frequency, range, means and percentage. To
determine the perception of the beneficiaries to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, a
five-point likert scale was used. Then to determine the preferred training needs of the Pantawid
beneficiaries, a 3-point likert scale was used. Lastly, to determine the problems encountered by
the participants a five-point likert scale was used.
The study showed that the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program was "very beneficial" to
its beneficiaries or member. In terms of the Perceived Training Needs, the U

terms of the problems they encountered as Pantawid beneficiaries, the study shows that there
is no problem in the program.
Based on the result of this study, the authors recommend to the local government to
conduct livelihood trainings such as backyard farming, food processing, tailoring, crafting from
recyclable materials and self-empowerment seminars for the beneficiaries to increase their
knowledge and convert it to marketable skills.
