This study, "Response of African Daisy to Chicken Dung, Complete Fertilizer and their Combination" was con-ducted at Barrio Maharlika, Tagaytay City from July 1983 to November 1983. It aimed to determine the best kind of fertilizer that would give the best result on the growth and flower production of African Daisy. The 100 square meter field was prepared thoroughly by the use of animal drawn implements. Fertilizer was applied basally at the rate of 10,000 kilograms of chicken dung per hectare, 450 kilograms of complete fertilizer 14-14-14) per hectare and 5,000 kilograms of chicken dung with 225 kilograms of complete commercial fertilizer combined. Plants were planted 45 centimeters between rows and hills. Highly significant results were obtained on the average number of days from planting to shoot formation, average number of days from planting to flowering, percentage survival, and on the quality of flowers produced as far as length of stalk and diameter of flower heads are concerned. Significant result was obtained on the number of flowers produced per hill as affected by the kind of fertilizer used.
The maximum number of flowers produced which was 114,750 was obtained from the plants fertilized with complete fertilizer (T3) and the minimum number was obtained from the plants that were unfertilized (T1) with 83,250 flowers per hectare.
