CANIYA, FELICIANO E. Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, April 1990. "Response of Safflower to Different Levels of Chicken Manure". Dr. Vicente G. Lontoc (Adviser).
The study "Response of Safflower to Different Levels of Chicken Manure" was conducted at the experimental field of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from April to August 1989 to evaluate the effects of different levels of chicken manure to the safflower and to find out the best level that will induce production of more flowers. Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used in the experiment with four replications and four treatments. The different treatments are as follows: TI (Control), Treatment 2 (850 kg/ha), Treatment 3 (1,700 kg/ha chicken manure), Treatment 4 (2,550 kg/ha chicken manure). Results showed that Treatment 2 (850 kg/ha of chicken manure) produced a remarkably higher dried flower over the rest of the different treatments. However, considering the computed yield in kilograms per hectare obtained from each treatment in the study, Treatment 2 (850 kg/ha chicken manure) surpassed all the other treatments in terms of yield.
