The study focused on the working capital management practices and entrepreneurial skills of women entrepreneurs in Indang, Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: determine the socio-demographic profile of the women entrepreneurs; determine the profile of their businesses; determine the perceived level of working capital management practices and entrepreneurial skills of the participants; determine if there is a significant difference on the level of implementation of working capital management practices based on socio-demographic and business profile; determine if there is a significant difference on the level of entrepreneurial skills based on socio-demographic and business profile; and determine if there is a significant relationship between perceived level of working capital management practices and level of entrepreneurial skills of women entrepreneurs in lndang, Cavite. The study was conducted from April to June 2018 in all barangays of Indang, Cavite. A total of 342 participants were included in the study using complete enumeration except for peddlers, apartments and women-owned carinderia and sari-sari stores. They were asked to fill up a survey questionnaire. Descriptive method was used to describe the variables of the study. One-way ANOVA and t-test were used to determine the significant difference between the variables. Spearman Correlation was used to determine if there is a significant relationship between the variables. In terms of socio-demographic profile, findings show that Generation Y dominates the women entrepreneurs with 46 percent. Majority are married (83%), college graduates (57%), and full time in business (76%). In terms of the business
profile, a considerable percentage of the businesses are in retail (60%), 66 percent are located in Poblacion, 82 percent are under sole proprietorship, and a small majority (32%) had been operating their business for 4 to 6 years. in terms of perceived level of working capital management practices, the result shows that accounts receivable management and accounts payable management were only somewhat practiced, while inventory management was being practiced. On the other hand, in terms of entrepreneurial skills, it shows that women entrepreneurs are highly capable of being innovative and proactive. They are also capable of taking risks. The study revealed no significant difference on the practice of risk-taking by women entrepreneurs when grouped according to any socio-demographic characteristic and business characteristic used in this study. This means that risk-taking is a major component in entrepreneurial ventures and a natural expectation from anyone who is venturing into entrepreneurship. A woman entrepreneur from lndang could not have put up her business and survive the business world without practicing a healthy amount of risk-taking. This study showed a significant relationship between accounts receivable management and risk-taking and pro activeness. There was no significant relationship between accounts payable management and the level of entrepreneurial skills of women entrepreneurs, while there was a significant relationship between the inventory management and the level of entrepreneurial skills of women entrepreneurs.
