The study aimed to develop an android game on proper waste segregation in Cavite State University Main Campus. Specifically it aimed to: design a mobile application for the students that will help the general population to understand the proper waste segregation; create a game module that will help students enhance their knowledge about the proper waste segregation, design a module for students that is more enjoyable through educational games; build an information module that will help the students know the possible use of recyclable waste; develop a report module for students to review all the collected waste materials; and make a map of the campus to easily locate other buildings inside the university.
Iterative development process methodology was used in the development of the study that consists of the following phases: requirement analysis; analysis and design; implementation; testing; and evaluation.
"Trash Me: Development of an Android Game on proper Waste Segregation in Cavite State University Main Campus" was developed using Construct 2 as the game editor, Adobe Photoshop CS5 for the enhancement of the interface of the system and Microsoft Word for documentation.
The system was assessed and evaluated using different testing methods: namely: functionality; reliability; usability; efficiency; maintainability; portability; and system testing. After passing the tests, 100 participants evaluated the system. The overall interpretation of the results of the evaluation was 'Excellent'.
