This study aimed to determine the perceived effects of caffeine-based energy drinks to the performance of the CSPEAR student athletes in Cavite State University- main campus. The researchers used correlational design wherein it examined correlations between variables without requiring researchers to manipulate them. The researchers used interview as the data gathering method via video conference in Messenger. The researchers used open-ended questions that were answered by the student athletes of Cavite State University-main campus. The main goal of this study is to determine the perceived effects of caffeine-based energy drinks to the performance of the CSPEAR student athletes in Cavite State University- Main Campus. The participants of the study were the CSPEAR athlete students enrolled during the academic year 2021-2022 at Cavite State University Main- Campus. The study gathered the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age in which 80 percent of the respondents were 22-year-old, and 20 percent were 23-year-old. In terms of gender, 60 percent of the total number of the respondents were male, while 40 percent were female. The study revealed the sports that the respondents participated. The percentage of the respondents who participated in track and field was 40 percent, 20 percent in running, 20 percent in basketball, and 20 percent in boxing. The caffeine-based energy drinks consumed by the respondents were collected in the study. The 40 percent of the total number of respondents consumed Cobra as their energy drink, 40 percent consumed Sting, and lastly, 20 percent consumed Red Bull energy drink.
