The study generally aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between the perception and level of satisfaction on distance learning of the selected students of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the following: a) perception on distance learning of the selected students of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management; b) level of satisfaction on distance learning of the selected students of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management; and c) determine if each sub-variable significantly related to each other. The study used correlational research design. It also utilized survey questionnaires for collecting data. In addition, participants of this study were students of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security management, specifically 3rd year and 4th year students of Cavite State University - Main Campus. Furthermore, a random sampling was utilized in selecting the participants and a total of 90 students participated in the study. Based on the data gathered from the descriptive statistics showing the perception of distance learning of the selected BS ISM students at Cavite State University- Main Campus, the majority of the participants showed an average level of perception. This means that the students benefit from distance learning to a similar extent. Distance learning is deemed beneficial for them; they felt unrestricted in their ability to communicate with their lecturers and fellow students, as well as moderately engage in their studies.
On the other hand, the overall mean score of the satisfaction on distance learning of the participants is on the average level. Generally, selected BS ISM students have an average level of satisfaction. This implies that, though they are satisfied, participants do not feel much freedom in connecting with their instructors and not much comfortable in engaging with their course materials. In addition, the findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between the two variables since p-value is less than the alpha 0.05. This means that the respondents with low perception of distance learning are likely to have a low level of satisfaction on distance learning. The mean score of the selected BS ISM students at Cavite State University-Main Campus on their perception of distance learning is the result of statement 1. According to the data gathered, the majority of the participants had an average level of perception of 2.75. This means that distance learning benefits students in a similar way. They found distance learning to be beneficial because it allowed them to communicate freely with their lecturers and fellow students while also allowing them to moderately engage in their studies. While the result of statement 2, the participants' average satisfaction with distance learning is 2.75 on a scale of one to ten. The satisfaction level of selected BS ISM students is generally average. This means that, while satisfied, participants lack the freedom to communicate with their instructors and are uncomfortable engaging with their course materials.
