CABE, CLARISSA E. AND TALABOT, RHANNIE D. A SYSTEM STUDY IN HARADA AUTOMOTIVE ANTENNA PHILIPPINES INC. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Engr. Dina P. Bawag.

The study was conducted to improve the production system of Harada Automotive Antenna Philippines Inc using IE tools. As the study aimed at improving production output, the DMAIC methodology was considered. The Define phase includes analysis of the topic and determining the objectives and focus of the study, identifying the current state, and identifying the problem in recurrence of defects. The initial problem was identified through interviews with the 8D personnel, continuous improvement engineers, and the company's team leader. The Measure phase includes further analysis of the issues and determining which problems frequently arise. Root-cause analysis (RCA), such as the fishbone diagram and why-why analysis, was used to identify the root causes of the issues. In the Improve phase, seek to implement, and apply the recommended improvements using Industrial Engineering tools and techniques that may help improve the company's production system. The Control phase mainly focused on evaluating the efficiency of implementing proposed solutions to the identified problem. Theoretically, the result of the modified wire guide in this study improved the performance of the production as it decreased the defects occurring in the production process. After a month of implementation, the number of defects decreases from 264 to 135, with a total difference of 129, that actually added in the production output of the company. On the other hand, the rework costings for incomplete solder decreased from 15276.80 pesos to 7,812.00 pesos, with a total difference of 7,464.80 pesos, that added to company's revenue. The researchers proved that the corrective actions were effective and efficient.
