The hostel building in this study was a combination of three-storey and one-storey in a single building. It was analyzed for residential purposes since its main function is a place where the visitors will stay during their visit in the Cacao Business Hub. It was located in Mangas Il, Alfonso, Cavite for a purpose of improving cacao business in the town.
The objectives of the study were to perform an analysis using STAAD Pro Connect edition and use the data gathered to perform a manual computation together with the detailing of the members of the structure. It included the following members: beams, slabs, columns, stairs, and footings. The study included also detailed architectural plans, structural plans, electrical plans, and plumbing plans as well as the cost-estimates of the buildings.The structural members were designed using STAAD Pro Connect Edition with the guidance of Reinforced Concrete Design books following NSCP 2015. A total of six beams, two columns, two footings, six slabs including slab on grade, and stair. The total amount of the project was Php 43,252,400.00 with a total floor area of 2519.339 sq. m. The cost per square meter of the project was determined to be Php 17,169.00.
