The study was conducted to describe the demographic characteristics of the respondents; to document the first, current occupation and future career plan of the respondents; to determine the reason for staying on the present job; to identify factors associated with the career path of nursing graduates in terms of socio- economic, work related, personal aspect, family and professional RN requirements; to determine which among the identified factors has a significant relationship in the career path of CvSU Nursing graduates, batches 2006-2008.

The research study used a descriptive approach involving purposive or convenience sampling technique. Personal interviews were conducted with the respondents residing in the country while questionnaires were sent through email or social networks for respondents who were abroad to obtain accurate responses. Data were subjected to statistical analysis using mean, frequency distribution and Pearson’s r product moment correlation. The dominant 1 job and present job classification of the respondents was the nursing job, which they wanted to pursue in the future. They chose to stay on their job because their profession is within their special area of interests and capabilities. Personal aspect factor has the highest influence on the career path of nursing graduates. The socio-economic and professional RN requirements are the dominant factors associated with the career path of CvSU nursing graduates during the calendar years 2006-2008.
