The study was conducted to; (1.) study the demographic profile of the respondents (2.) identify the factors affecting the occurrence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (3.) determine the relationship between demographic profile and the occurrence of DHF (4.)determine the relationship between factors and the occurrence of DHF. The study was conducted from September to March 2011.

The study used descriptive cor relational research method. The respondents of the study were the residents of Bacoor (90), Dasmarinas City (300), Silang (140) and Tagaytay City (36) regardless of their age, gender, length of residency, family size, occupation and family monthly income. The respondents were composed of 283 positive and 283 negative casualties of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever

Gathered data showed that most of the respondents were composed of female ages 11-20 years old and have length of residency below six years. Moreover, they were usually one to five members in the family, unemployed and have family monthly income of P5,000 to 10,000.

Likewise, data from the respondents revealed that in terms of demographic profile--age, occupation and family monthly income has a significant relationship in the occurrence of DHF. They have sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 and 0.005 which were less than the level of significance, a=0.05. However, gender, length of residency and family size showed no significant relationship in the occurrence of DHF, having sig. (two-tailed) value of greater than the level of significance, a=0.05.

Aside from that, factors in terms of topography, breeding places, protective measures, health and nutrition, and garbage disposal showed a significant relationship in the occurrence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. They have sig. (two-tailed) value of 0.000 which were less than the level of significance, a=0.05. Also, garbage disposal showed significant relationship in the occurrence of DHF having sig. (two-tailed) value of 0.011.
