A study was conducted to determine the hematological values and describe the cellular components in the blood of locally raised native chicken (banabct). The study used 10 sexually mature male, 10 sexually immature male, 10 sexually mature female and 10 sexually immature female. Respectively, the hematological values observed were as follows: RBC (x 106 /uL) = 2.90, 2.61, 2.77 and 2.55; Hb (g/dL) = 11.45, 10.03, 11.99 and 9.93; MCV (fL) = 118.33, 116.82, 144.34 and 117.89; MCH (pg) = 39.84, 38.51, 48.09 and 38.97; MCHC (%) = 33.17, 32.95, 36.98 and 43.01; WBC (x 103/uL ) = 13.94, 13.91, 16.83 and 15.92; In the differential leukocyte count, it was observed that the predominant cell in the native chicken was lymphocytes followed by heterophils, and monocytes. Eosinophil and basophil were the least encountered cell. The values of the various leukocytes for sexually mature male, sexually immature male, sexually mature female and sexually immature female were as follow: Heterophil = 29.90, 31.56, 28.00 and 30.36 respectively; Lymphocytes = 66.92, 63.92, 67.19 and 64.78 respectively; Monocytes = 1 75, 2.64, 2.58 and 2.47 respectively; Basophils = 0.47, 0.50, 0.47 and 0.53 respectively; Eosinophils = 0.92, 1.39, 1.75 and 1.86 respectively.
