A field study was conducted from December 09, 2006 to February 27, 2007 to enable the student to enhance knowledge and skills through actual participation in the company's actual operation. Specifically, it aimed to describe the operation of the company; identify the problems encountered and plans of the firm; and recommends feasible solutions to the problems encountered. Network Trading Philippines International, Incorporated (NTPI Inc.) is a steel fabricator specializes in the manufacture of high quality conveyor system and heavy duty rollers designed to fit to all kinds of application and industry specifications- all types of industry users, materials handled by the conveyor and factors affecting the bearing life such as acids, dust and chemicals.
The company employed marketing strategies by producing high quality conveyor product system and heavy duty rollers of all sizes to meet the need of local and export market by its high international standards and reasonable prices. The volume of production of NTPI Inc. depended on the order of consumers which resulted to unstable flow of production leading to frequent lay-off of workers, the delivery of exported raw materials necessary for production were often delayed which resulted to clients complaints.
On the other hand, one good attribute of the management is the worker's flexibility, they can operate any equipment or perform any activity assigned to them. The company plans to maintain its competitiveness in the domestic market and cover a wide range of international market. It plans to have stable performance and create a market share.
