The study was conducted to determine the demographic profile of the respondernts, to identify the most common artificial contraceptive use, it's effectiveness, and to distinguish the factors that influence the use of artificial contraceptive. This study was conducted at Barangay bagong Kalsada, Naic, Cavite on January 2007. Fifty selected couples who were currently using artificial contraceptive methoths as an option for their family planning were selected for the study. The ages of the respondents ranged form 18-45 years. There were 48 percent of the total respondents who used pills, 30 percent used DMPA, 14 percent used condom and eight percent used IUD. All respondents agreed that artificial contraceptive was effective in family planning. Among the respondents, 54 percent claimed that they were influenced by several factors, while 40 percent claimed that it was their own choice. The years of practicing artificial contraceptive and the contraceptive used is significantly correlated. The level of satisfaction in using artificial contraceptive is not significantly correlated to the contraceptive used by our respondents. The factors affecting the use of artificial contraceptive are not correlated to the contraceptive used by the respondents.
