Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Ms. Gladys G. Perey.<br/><br/>The study was conducted from January 2015 to February 2016 at Naic, Cavite and Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite to develop the E-Commerce System of SPRINT for Cavite State University. Specially, the study aimed to: 1. identify problems by conducting interview with the organization; 2. analyze the problem through fishbone diagram to know the possible causes and effects of the identified problems; 3. design a database structure using MySQL to serve as the repository of the necessary data; 4. develop software that will speed up the transaction of the product from sellers to buyers using PHP as the scripting language, Notepad++ as text editor and Adobe Photoshop as image editor; and 5. test the software through unit and integration testing.<br/><br/>The methodology used in the development of the system is the Iterative Development Methodology, it consists of phases, namely: planning, requirements gathering, analysis and design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. This methodology is a process for arriving at a decision or a desired result by repeating rounds of analysis or a cycle of operations. The objective of this methodology is to bring the desired decision or result closer to discovery with each repetition (iteration).<br/><br/>The study was developed with MySQL as database storing data, HTMLS and PHP as scripting language and Pearl (XAMPP 3.2.1) for the design of the database, (Apache) as the server, Notepad++ for text editor, and Adobe Photoshop CS5 for the interface design development. Microsoft Office Word for the documentation that support system development and Microsoft PowerPoint for making diagrams were also used.<br/><br/>The system is composed of five (5) modules, namely: account management, | products information, transaction, report and inventory module. Unit, integration and system testing were conducted. Ninety-one (91) respondents evaluated the system based on its functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and portability.<br/>Generally, the system appeared to be excellent based on the evaluation.<br/> |
