Rodrin <br/>The study was conducted to describe the employment of internal migrants of selected National Housing Authority (NHA) housing projects in Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to describe the socio-demographic characteristics of the internal migrants in Cavite, determine the ways of seeking employment of the internal migrants, identify the nature and status of employment of the internal migrants, identify the reasons for the migration of internal migrants to Cavite, and identify the problems encountered by the internal migrants in seeking employment. This study utilized the descriptive method, with the interview schedule as the main tool to gather the necessary information. Data were analyzed using frequency count, mean, range, percentage, and rank. The participants of the study were 100 internal migrants: 13 participants from Dorothea Homes, 21 participants from Southville, 30 participants from Tropical Village, and 36 participants from Bahay-Katuparan. These housing projects were chosen by asking the assistance of the National Housing Authority - Cavite to identify the areas with high population of internal migrants in the four selected municipalities in Cavite. Based on the results of the study, internal migration has become a factor in improving the quality of life of the participants in terms of income amidst problems and adjustments they have encountered in the area of relocation. <br/> |
