Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Dr. Ruby Ann Espineli.<br/>The study was conducted from April 2016 to February 2017 to assess the determinants of juvenile delinquency. Specifically, it aimed to: (l) determine the demographic profile of the juvenile clients, (2) determine the determinants of juvenile as perceived by the program implementers, (3) determine the determinants of juvenile delinquency as perceived by juvenile clients, (4) determine the significant relationship between the demographic profile of juvenile clients and their perception in determinants of juvenile delinquency, and (5) determine the significant difference between the perception of program implementers and juvenile clients on determinants of juvenile delinquency. It used descriptive correlation method of research through survey questionnaire.<br/>Based on the result, the result concluded that out of 22 juvenile clients, 16 (72.73%) belonged to the bracket 16-18 which is the highest number of responses. As to their sex, most were males which is equivalent to (90.91 %). In terms of educational attainment, most participants were high school undergraduate which is composed of 8 (36.36%). The result revealed that there's no significant difference between the perception of program implementers and juvenile clients to the determinants of juvenile delinquency.The recommendation regarding to this study are for the juvenile to attend workshops and trainings that would develop their human aspect. To parents should give them full attention and provide the basic needs of a child. To schools and teachers are recommended to make sure that they could give proper attention and guidance to all accommodated students to avoid misbehavior. And also, for local government, local social welfare office, barangay and community should work together in formulating and creation of prevention, intervention, and diversion programs for juvenile at risk and in conflict with the law. Lastly, program implementers for them to properly assess, guide, evaluate and monitor the juvenile clients to avoid complication of their misbehavior.<br/> |
