Ilagan. <br/> <br/> The study was conducted to determine the relationship between job insecurity and organizational commitment of municipal government employees in selected upland towns of Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the demographic profile of municipal government employees in terms of age, gender, civil status, educational level and employment status; determine the level of job insecurity; determine the level of organizational commitment; determine the significant differences between job insecurity based on demographic profile; determine the significant differences in organizational commitment based on demographic profile; and determine the significant relationship between job insecurity and organizational commitment. The study was conducted in the towns of General Emilio Aguinaldo, Maragondon, and Mendez. Participants of the study were the rank and file regular and casual employees. One hundred eighty-three (183) employees participated in the study. Random sampling was used to identify the municipal government employees per town. Descriptive statistics such as frequency count, percentage and mean were used to describe the demographic profile of the participants. Kruskal Wallis One Way Annova and Mann Whitney Test were used to determine the differences, while Spearman's rank was used to identify the relationship between the study variables. <br/><br/> Results of the study revealed that the municipal government employees in selected upland towns of Cavite are mostly senior in age and with families. They are predominantly female, college graduates and hold permanent positions. The job insecurity level was found low, and the commitment level was only moderate. Significant difference in both the level of job insecurity and affective commitment was found but only in terms of employment status. In continuance commitment, significant difference was present when the participants were group according to educational attainment. Furthermore, significant difference in normative commitment was found when the participants were grouped according to their gender and employment status. A negative significant relationship between job insecurity and commitment was determined and was found strongest in terms of affective and normative commitment. <br/>
