Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2017. Adviser: Mr. Garry M. Cahibaybayan <br/>The study was conducted from September to April 2017, located at the Cavite State University, Indang Campus at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology. The study aimed to: design a linear motor trainer; construct a linear motor trainer, test and evaluate the linear motor trainer, and conduct cost and analysis. Once the model was calibrated, it was evaluated and estimates the theoretical efficiency of the motor under other conditions. With this information, the different parameter of the motor for different applications was optimized. This small prototype demonstrates how the linear motor works. The system developed was a low cost for versatile education and teaching environment in order to facilitate hands-on education of undergraduate electrical students. Testing and evaluation of the system were done to determine the strength and the weaknesses of the trainer and for the students to know how the system works. The participants in evaluating the system included 20 students and 5 professors. The system assured that the students could be globally competitive and skilled in this kind of course. It is also allowed the student to apply their theoretical knowledge of electromagnetism<br/> |
