Summary, etc. GADO, JOHN CARLO M. and SANDICO, VINCENT K. Development of Liquefied Petroleum Gas electronic Fuel Injected Engine Trainer. Undergraduate Design project Bachelor or Industrial Technology, major in Automotive Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Mr. Danielito R. Escaño

Converting a vehicle to liquefied petroleum gas means making a significant contribution to a greener planet. Liquefied petroleum gas emits less carbon dioxide than petrol, and less nitrogen oxide and fewer particulates than diesel. Vehicle emissions are recognized as one of the main contributors to climate change, but liquefied petroleum gas is widely recognized for its inherent environmental benefits. With this, the researchers would like to develop another type of liquefied petroleum gas electronic fuel engine trainer which is single overhead camshaft engine that is different from the existing high-end model of dual overhead camshaft engine trainer. This will not only demonstrate the ability of the students in conducting the study but also helping save the environment.

The development of a Honda D15b gasoline engine was conducted in Barangay De Ocampo Trece Martires Cavite and evaluated at the Automotive Section of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University Main Campus, Indang Cavite. The design project served as a simulator that provided a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) retrofitting trainer for automotive students to effectively understand and lessen the complexity in learning about the modernization in using alternative fuel, operation process, and enhance the skills through actual activities provided by the trainer. The conversion of Honda D15b engine was chosen to improve the skills of the automotive students. Engine troubleshooting was provided by the researchers in conducting activities and Installation of the conversion kit. The engine was limited only to basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Overhauling of the major internal parts of r kits \Vas not included in the design activities to avoid unnecessary damages that may happen on the internal parts of conversion kit.

The trainer prototype is a model that shows how the auto LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) engine operates. The trainer prototype was composed of different components such us LPG gas tank, LPG Solenoid valve, Vaporizer, Filter, LPG injector, nozzle, Map sensor, LPG switch, and ECU (Electronic Control Unit). The main parts of the LPG components are the vaporizer that mixed and control the LPG gas of the engine. This component of the LPG was placed besides the engine frame and to the acrylic glass. This was done to locate easily when troubleshooting or conducting different hands-on activities. The wiring system of the engine was reconditioned through replacing all the harnesses to make the wiring system easily to understand by the learners. The wires from the ECM (Electronic Control Module) components and parts of the engine pass through binding post with different size of wires to make the wiring system presentable. The wires from different parts especially to the ECU's was tucked together to easily determine the wires connecting to the components of the LPG during activities. To develop the trainer was needed to reinstall LPG to the engine.
