Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite December, 2018 Adviser: Mr Bienvenido C. Sarmiento.<br/> A study was conducted to design and develop an automated plant fiber to help the farmers The project aimed to help them to gain additional income by reusing their byproducts to produce fibers that can be used for manufacturing various products The general objective of the study was to design and develop an automated plant fiber extractor The study specifically aimed to: design and construct the controllers circuit for the system., design and fabricate the plant fiber extractor machine; develop an Arduino program for the system; test and evaluate the system based on the following parameters; Speed of production; Output quality; and Efficiency; and conduct a cost analysis of the system. <br/>The materials that were used in the study were: microcontroller unit, AC motor, AC geared motor, LCD display and keypad, relay drivers, solid state relays, piezo buzzer, limit switches and circuit breaker. Automated Plant Fiber Extractor can be able to reduce time for extracting multiple plant used for making fibers. <br/>Results of the evaluation showed that based from the evaluated speed, quantity, and quality, the automated plant fiber was faster compared to the manual process of extracting pineapple leaves and banana trunk. But, in terms of quality produced, it failed to produce good quality of pineapple fiber output because the fabrication of the scrapper and the metal plate beneath it has some minor miscalculated design that gave an inconsistent output. Including the fabrication and materials, the final cost of the machine is P68,290,00. <br/>
