DIZON, JOSE CARLO R. Assessment of Municipal Water Supply in Selected Areas of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Dr. Leyma L. Cero <br/>The water supply system of each water provider in Cavite was assessed in this study. The objectives of the study were to: (1) determine the water supply capacities of various water service providers in selected areas of Cavite; (2) determine the water consumption of the population in selected areas of Cavite; and (3) project the water demand of selected areas of Cavite for the next ten years. Data on service area, population served, type and number of water connections, sources and storages of water, water production and water consumption for the year 2016 was gathered. Only 11 water providers participated in the study, namely: Alfonso Water Works, Amadeo Water District, Carmona Water District, Dasmarinas Water District, General Emilio Aguinaldo Water District, Indang Water District, Magallanes Water Works, Maragondon Water District, Mendez Water District, Silang Water District and Tanza Water District. Results showed that the per capita consumption of some of the area covered went beyond the recommended conservative use. Average non — revenue water was higher than the recommended rating. Per Capita Consumption and percent NRW ranged from 60 L to 136 L and 15.02 percent to 45.01 percent, respectively. The areas should develop new resources and measures in order to satisfy the growing water demand.<br/> |
