ASPREC, JONATHAN V., AND RAMOS, SETH GABRIEL S. DEVELOPMENT OF DETECTION OF COPIED PROJECT DOCUMENTATIONS AND RESEARCH PAPERS SUBMITTED IN THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Cavite State University, lndang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Ms. Ezra Marie F. Ramos
Copied Project Documentation and Research Papers Detection System is a software system for detecting copied works submitted by the students in the Department of Information System. The software provides a functionality for the users to import some works of the students as the target file and source file. The target file imported will undergone detection to check if the file is copied to the other works by the used of comparing. The software will give a summary from the comparison of target file and source file. By the use of this software, the users can easily identify if the work of the student is copied or not. This software will help the users most especially the instructors and teachers in checking student's work and also help the students to avoid committing copying other's work. Copied Project Documentations and Research Papers Detection System is developed and design in order to provide software that can detect student's work if copied or not and also to prevent from defeating the advocacy of students to learn and create new things. The difference of this software to the existing literature and technology are the algorithm, and features that the researchers used to provide new thing that only available in Cavite State University - Main Campus.
Iterative development process method was used as the methodology of the study. The following tools were used to develop the system: Windows 10 Operating System, 4GB RAM, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor of system type, Intel (R) Pentium( R) CPU N4200 @ 1.106Hz 1.10 GHz of processor. Forty (40) faculty members of Department of Information Technology in Cavite State University were chosen to evaluate the system. The researchers distributed an evaluation form, based on ISO 9126, to each respondent for usability testing.
According to the overall evaluation results, the system was judged to be excellent um all software quality criteria such as functionality, reliability, efficiency, maintainability, and user-friendliness and very good in usability. The researchers the source file concluded that the software is a viable solution to use as useful software for checking student's work.
|
