Summary, etc. DORIMON, JOANE MAE B., ERNI, SARAH MAE V., FLORENDO, MARIA ANGELIKA J. Awareness and Perception Towards BIR Electronic Filing and Payment System Among Small-scale Business Owners in Selected Cities of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management. June 2018. Adviser: Prof. Rowena R. Noceda.
The research was performed to determine the awareness and perception towards BIR electronic filing and payment system among small- scale business owners in selected cities in Cavite, namely: Dasmarinas Imus, and Bacoor. Descriptive statistical tools such as frequency count, mean, and percentage were used in presenting and analyzing the data gathered. Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient was used to determine if there is a significant relationship between the variables. The study revealed that 35 percent of the participants who owns a small-scale business are from the age bracket of 22-29, college graduates; most own a computer and internet, and also computer and internet literate. Moreover, more than half of the small-scale businesses were operating from 1-8 years, and most are sole proprietorship. The level of awareness of small-scale business owners in information and utilization result as much aware, while the perception of the small-scale business owners was determined in the study that they have lesser positive insights toward eFPS. The study revealed that there is no significant relationship between the small-scale business owners' profile and the level of awareness, as well as with perception; and as to the business profile and level of awareness, and perception. The study also tested the significant relationship between the level of awareness and perception of small-scale business owners and it revealed that they were highly significant and positively correlated. The study also determined that lack of experience in using the eFPS and system failure were the common problems that prevents the small-scale business owners to use eFPS.
