DE VILLA, JOHN KENNETH D. Hog Raising Enterprise in Cavite State University: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Dr. Irvin dL. Matel <br/>This project was conducted at the Animal Production Project of Cavite State University — Main Campus, Indang, Cavite for 98 days from December 14, 2018 until March 22, 2019. The project was aimed for the student entrepreneur to gain knowledge and understanding in swine production, evaluate the different problems related to swine raising and gain profit from fattening hogs. The four hogs were provided with proper care and management. As weanlings they had an average initial weight of 17.6 kg and ended with an average final weight of 89.5 kg After 98 days of rearing the hogs attained and average daily gain (ADG) of 741.24 g, feed consumption of 206.25 kg and feed conversion efficiency (FCE) of 2.87. The total production cost for the project was P41, 922. The net income was P6, 654.17, giving a return on investment of 6.60%.<br/> |
