Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2005. Adviser: Ms. Ma. Corazon A. Buena. <br/>A three-month enterprise development project named "CHOCOLICIOUS'' was conducted to: (1) identify and describe the different processes and activities in producing chocolate spread; (2) describe the strategies in marketing chocolate spread; (3) determine the profitability of producing and marketing chocolate spread; and (4) identify the problems encountered in producing and marketing chocolate spread and recommend feasible solutions. The project was conducted from November 8, 2004 to February 8, 2005 in Kaytambog, Indang, Cavite. The capital of P30,000.00 which was equally shared by the entrepreneurs was used to operate the project. The entrepreneurs were able to identify the different activities in producing chocolate spread. The different steps followed in producing chocolate spread include the preparation of ingredients, slicing, grinding, mixing, packaging, and labeling. However, other important aspects in production were identified. The production cost and production volume were presented in the study. Strategies in marketing the products were applied by the entrepreneurs. Such strategies cover product, price, promotion, and place strategies. <br/>For the three-month operation, the project obtained a total sales of P57,730.00, total cost of raw materials of P37,682.80 and total operating expenses of P2,665.50. The total income realized from the business was P17, 421.42. The enterprise experienced problems during the operation such as lack of supply of water, unpredicted weather condition and delayed payments of some customers. <br/><br/> |
