The swine project was conducted to determine the cost and returns in raising hogs for fattening purposes at Kaytambog, Indang, Cavite from October 23, 1981 to March 1982.<br/>The source of stock was the Dona Crisanta Farm in Buckstate, Luksuhin , Alfonso, Cavite. The pen was thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before the operation started. <br/>The average initial weight and average final weight was recorded as well as the monthly gain in weight. <br/>B-meg feeds were used during the whole operation.<br/>The hogs were sold at the age of 5 months on a wholesale basis.<br/>The project has an initial capital of P1,540.05 and with the net return of 319.05<br/>The only problem met by the farmer and the Student Outreach Agent was the delayed release of capital (loan).<br/><br/> |
