Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Operations Management. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Engr. Gilberto S. David.<br/><br/>This study was conducted to contribute in the understanding of trading relationship and consideration of coffee beans sellers and factors they considered in choosing the most preferred and alternative buyer.<br/><br/>The study was conducted in the towns of Amadeo, Silang and Alfonso. These are considered as top three towns in terms of volume of coffee production in Cavite.<br/><br/>Primary data were gathered through surveys and questionnaires. The study had 153 coffee growers and 9 coffee intermediaries as the participant of the study. Coffee intermediary can be classified as trader or processor.<br/><br/>Results of the study showed that the average age of coffee growers was 63 years old. Majority of them were male and married with varied educational attainment. They consider paying on time and being trustworthy as the most important considerations in the choice of buyers.<br/><br/>Location was found as the least factor considered by the growers in the choice of preferred buyer while it was cooperation for the choice of alternative buyer.<br/><br/>Coffee intermediaries had an average age of 53 years old and majority were male, married and had varied educational attainment. They prefer buyers who pays on time and choose alternative buyer who can provide fair price.<br/><br/>From the intermediary's perspective, location was the least factor considered in choosing their preferred buyer while long-standing relationship was the least factor in choosing the alternative buyer.<br/> |
