Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite.June 2019.<br/>Adviser: Mr. Aldrin Baes.<br/><br/>The researcher focused on the effectiveness of former chairperson's leadership in<br/>barangays of Indang, Cavite. The objectives of the study were to determine the following: I )<br/>programs and services made by the mayor that enhanced effectiveness the leadership of the<br/>former barangay chairpersons; 2) challenges and problems encountered by the former<br/>barangay chairpersons in terms of leadership; 3) programs and projects that former barangay<br/>chairpersons implemented that show the effectiveness of their leadership in their barangay; 4)<br/>constituents' view of effectiveness of the leadership of their former barangay chairperson in<br/>terms of implementing rules and regulation, barangay budget, barangay drug clearing program,<br/>barangay health program and barangay sports. The study was conducted from the July 2018 to<br/>April 2019.<br/>The researcher used descriptive method research design. The researcher conducted<br/>surveys among the residents and interviews with former chairpersons in the barangays. The<br/>survey done was limited to 15 respondents from each of the 36 barangays within Indang,<br/>Cavite.<br/>The researcher also discovered that there is cooperation in local government unit to<br/>barangay leaders down to their constituents. There are two factors in terms of measures given<br/>In empowermg the leaders of the barangays. One of these is through giving the barangay<br/>chairpersons projects and programs to be implemented in their respective barangays. The<br/>Municipality of Indang, specifically the mayor, may provide the said activities and through this,<br/>they are delegated their power as they will now practice their function of legislation and<br/>execution. The interviews and data gathered by the researcher could support this statement as<br/>one of the factors in measuring the effectiveness of leadership of barangay chairpersons.<br/><br/>The researcher highly recommends constructing more questions for the interview to<br/>know the other accomplishments of the former chairpersons in Indang, Cavite |
