Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Electrical Technology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Mr. Garry M. Cahibaybayan. <br/><br/>The study was conducted from February to April 2019 at Tagyatay City and at Department of Industrial Engineering and Industrial Technology, College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite to design and develop pipe bending and cutting machine. Specifically: 1. Design an electrical pipe bending and cutting machine; 2. Develop an electrical pipe bending and cutting machine; 3. test and evaluate the electrical pipe bending and cutting machine; and conduct cost computation. The pipe bending and cutting machine is a project that can be used as a trainer and an example of a useful product that can be used to produce bent pipes on a faster rate. The designed project can be used to give the students ideas on how pipe bending is done and broaden their minds when it comes to motor control. Students tend to learn much faster when the topic is being presented in front of them and letting them interact with the material. The main components of the machine is mainly: a frame which holds the machine as a whole, a three phase induction motor that makes the machine capable of bending, a speed reducer gearbox in order to increase the usable torque needed for the machine, chain drives to apply the force exerted by the machine and the switches that will allow the operator to work on the machine. <br/> |
