Feliciano.<br/><br/>The study aimed to gain a better understanding of the effects of financial stress on job performance of employees in provincial government offices of Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to (1) determine the socio-economic profile of employees in provincial government offices in Cavite in terms of age, sex, civil status, number of dependent, job title, years of service, salary grade, average monthly net take home pay and other sources of income; (2) determine the level of financial stress of employees; (3) determine the sources of financial stress encountered by employees.<br/>(4) determine the level of job performance of employees using Office Performance Commitment Review (OPCR) in terms of quality/quantity, efficiency, and timeliness; (5) ascertain the significant relationship of socio-economic profile and financial stress and<br/>(6) determine the significant relationship between financial stress and job performance.<br/>The study was conducted from January to May 2019. The participants were chosen through Slovin's formula and purposive sampling technique. From the selected offices in the provincial government of Cavite, a total of 283 employees were selected. Percentage, standard deviation, mean, frequency distribution and relative frequency, spearman rank correlation, chi-square, point-biserial correlation coefficient and weighted mean were used to analyze the data collected from the respondents.<br/>The study revealed that socio-economic profile including age and salary grade of the respondents was significantly related to financial stress.<br/>On the other hand, financial stress and job performance showed no significant relationship. The main financial problem mentioned by the respondents was family needs. The results of the study revealed that even though they experience high financial stress, they still have an outstanding job performance.<br/>Lastly, the researchers recommend that government offices should create a compulsory policy of attending trainings, seminars, moral support, and good company guidance. The employees should also have to practice to save a portion of their income for emergency needs, budgeting plan, study covering financial stress and the whole province of Cavite.<br/>
