Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May<br/>2018. Adviser: Ms. Ruby A. Manaig.<br/><br/>The study entitled "Exposure on ABS CBN's G Diaries TV Series and Attitude<br/>towards Ecotourism Promotion of Selected BS Tourism Students in Cavite State<br/>University- Main Campus" was conducted in Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from<br/>August 2017 to February 2018.<br/>The study aimed to determine the level of exposure of selected BS Tourism<br/>students to G Diaries TV Series, their level of attitude towards ecotourism promotion<br/>presented on the program, and the relationship between the two.<br/>The research design used was the descriptive-quantitative method of research and<br/>stratified random sampling technique to come up with a total of 231 participants. The<br/>statistical measures applied were mean, standard deviation and Pearson Chi Square.<br/>Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: the<br/>participants were moderately exposed to G Diaries TV series. Most of the students spent<br/>most time watching TV in the night although they had a lot of homework to do. Some<br/>young people even watched TV until midnight. Thus, the youth usually could allot their time<br/>between watching TV and doing their schoolwork. The level of attitude towards ecotourism<br/>promotion in G Diaries TV series of the participants was highly favorable.Majority of the<br/>students were in favor with the actions and/or attitude of what a travellers should acquire<br/>when visiting places in the country. There was no significant relationship between the level<br/>of exposure of selected Tourism students to G Diaries TV series. It clearly shows that even<br/>if the viewers were not really exposed to the TV series, it did not mean that it could affect<br/>their attitude towards ecotourism promotions. |
